How far along? 34 weeks
Sleep: very disrupted! got up 10 times the other night…that is my record so far! I had a dream the other night that he was born and it was a girl – yikes!
Best moments this week: we had our first shower and it was so much fun (pictures to come soon)
Food cravings: none really
Gender: BOY!!
What I miss: so many things…sleeping through the night, my normal size hands, feet & ankles, not having constant back pain, my energy…but it is all worth it
Movement: I swear this kid is always on the go…he especially loves my right rib!
What I am looking forward to: my family shower this weekend
Milestones: I’m huge! Not a single stretch mark, though…I’m keeping my fingers crossed this lasts until the end!
From BabyCenter:
Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he’s born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you’ve been nervous about preterm labor, you’ll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
